He said he was having an existential crisis.He wanted to know why he exists, what his purpose is, and which religion is true. So he started searching online.That search led him to my website.In that moment, I realized something incredible.God was already working in his heart long before we ever met. He simply used the internet to bring us together so this young man could begin discovering Jesus.There are people searching for hope right now. The question is… when God sends them looking, will they find you? Stay sensitive to how the Lord is leading you to reach others—whether online, in person, at your workplace, or at school. Hispanic Events   Hispanic Youth CongressFaith Mode “On” is the Mid-America Union Hispanic Youth Congress, a three-day weekend designed to help Hispanic young people deepen their relationship with Jesus, build lasting friendships, and discover how God is calling them to live out their faith. More than 60 young people from the Iowa-Missouri Conference attended this year’s event. Through inspiring worship, practical seminars, outdoor activities, sports, music, and meaningful conversations, youth from across the Mid-America Union came together to encourage one another and leave equipped to serve their churches and communities with their faith mode turned on.More Photos → |
Churches  Sedalia Church BaptismAva Tsurkan went through the waters of baptism on July 18 down at Truman Lake. She had family and friends witness this special day as she gave her heart to Jesus. The Sedalia Church is so excited to have another young person give their heart to the Lord and join the church. |

Churches   Mid Rivers SDA Church VBSDuring the month of July, Mid Rivers held its VBS, and many enjoyed the program through to completion. |
Churches   Clinton MO Farmers MarketEvery week, Clinton hosts a Farmers Market outside the church. This brings community members to the church, along with the ability to give out literature and interact with them. It also allows more people to be aware of the community services the church provides weekly. |
Churches      Des Moines SDA Church 6 baptismsSix young people were baptized at the church from studies happening in a special baptismal Sabbath school program. |
Adventurers   Adventurer Family CampoutAdventurer Family Camp Out brought more than 140 campers together at Sunnydale Adventist Academy for a weekend of worship, fellowship, outdoor fun, and hands-on learning. Families spent the first day setting up camp and getting settled before enjoying a full weekend of activities. Special guest Anthony Rudalf led worship and connected with parents, while Adventurers worked together to earn several honors. The weekend gave families an opportunity to grow in faith, make new memories, and enjoy meaningful time together.More Photos → |
Conference Conference Office Says Farewell to Rhonda and Ron KarrIowa-Missouri Conference office staff gathered for a farewell lunch honoring Rhonda and Ron Karr, who are moving to South Carolina to be near their son and daughter-in-law and their granddaughter.The lunch was a chance for the office family to thank the Karrs for all they have given to the conference over many years. Rhonda retired four years ago, but she never really stepped away — she has continued to help the treasury department ever since, and her steady, willing presence has left a mark on everyone who has worked alongside her.The Karrs leave behind colleagues who count them as friends. They will be missed at the conference office, and they go with the good wishes and prayers of the Iowa-Missouri family as they begin this next chapter closer to their children and granddaughter. |
